IBADAN–AHEAD of the August 9, gubernatorial election in Osun State, governor Rauf Aregbesola, yesterday told the people of the state not to rig for him, but allow the achievements of his administration influence their judgments during the election.
Governor Aregbesola spoke in Ibadan at the monthly guest forum organised by the Oyo State Correspondents’ Chapel.
Represented by Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Professor Olubukola Oyawoye, the governor advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to use card reader to check multiple voting, urging the federal government not to interfere in the election.
He said based on the performance of his government, Osun State indigenes were wise enough to decide who they wanted as their governor in 2014.
