Abuja — Director-General of Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, NGSA, Mr Alex Ndubuisi, has said that the agency would intensify effort to generate more credible geo-sciences data to ensure development of solid minerals in the country.

Ndubuisi spoke, weekend, in Abuja at a reception organised by the NISE Town Union to mark his recent appointment as Director-General of the agency.

He said although the programme of generating credible data had been ongoing, efforts would be intensified to generate adequate data, as according to him, the availability of credible geo-sciences data had become necessary  to increase the interest of investors and competitiveness in the sector.

Ndubuisi further said the agency would make available, enough geosciences data for research, industry and investors.
“The agency, being responsible for the generation of geosciences data… my vision is to increase the level of geosciences data available in this country.”
