The deputy Chief Missioner of Nasru-Lahi-l-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT, Alhaji Abdulazeez Onike has enjoined Muslim women to make their families their priority as instructed by Allah through the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w).
Onike gave the charge while delivering lecture at a conference organized by Lagos Zone 1 of the association and co-hosted by Owutu, Ikorodu, Owode-Ajegunle, Igbogbo and Imota branches.
In his words: “Women are the bedrock of not only an ideal family but the bedrock of a better and sustainable Society. Women has a mother, a wife and a daughter must understand the responsibilities attached to each role as ordained by Almighty Allah and must work towards fulfilling each role religiously to obtain favor from Allah.” He continued: “Your family should be your priority as Allah as commanded. This will make you, the family and the society a better one at large”.
“Considering the nature of man, there are some things a man would appreciate from his wife but will never ask for; but the woman would have to study and understand her God-given assignment and discharge the responsibilities freely.”
Also speaking at the conference was the former National Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Oladoje Faoziat who admonished women to imbibe the habit of hijab and Islamic dressing adding that ‘Aso ebi’ will cut their pockets more. “God has blessed us in Nasfat with our unique color of white and blue. Uniformity is something we should imbibe and avoid spending money unnecessarily to look different for every occasion. This will give us the opportunity to support our husbands and not cut our pockets”.
