UGHELLI—A group, Delta Fresh Vision, has urged Chief Mike Uwaka, a prominent chieftain of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State to run for the 2015 governorship election in the state.

Coordinators of the group, Mr. Chugaby Onwuka and Fred Akpewe hinged their plea on what they described as Uwaka’s antecedents as a visionary politician, philan-thropist and political leader whose profile, they said, fits into the picture of who would take the state to the next level.

The group, made up of youths, elders and political stakeholders in the state, visited the residence of Chief Uwaka in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state, yesterday, and promised to draft him into the guber race.

Responding, Chief Uwaka promised to consult extensive-ly with his people and political stakeholders and get back to the group.
