UGHELLI—THE Michael and Cecilia Foundation Demonstration Schools, (MCDFS) Agbarha-Otor, Delta State, has reinforced the growing standard of education in Nigeria with the celebration of its Founder’s Day.

MCFDS, which is renowned for its world-class resources and personnel competes with the best schools in the world, is an educational arm of the proposed Michael and Cecilia Ibru University.

In her address, Mrs. Kehinde Oderhohwo, Chief Inspector of Education, Ministry of Education, Ughelli said that “MCFDS a is world class. The Michael/Cecilia Foundation in response to call for collective responsibility to financing education since government cannot do it alone.

“They saw the need in establishing this school to provide qualitative and quantitative education for children in this part of the country. MCFDS has holistic approach to education in Nigeria with the state-of-the-art classroom facilities, library, music studio, computer laboratory, recreational/playground facilities couple with a serene environment.”

On her part, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru, President, MCFDS in her address, noted that the school was established to create a high standard education in response to Nigeria’s need, saying “MCFDS emerges a game changer within the nation’s educational sphere considering the vision of its president. The vision is to utilise world-class resources and personnel to offer education to pupils at nothing short of the best standards.”

She commended Mrs. Pagia George, School Principal as the brain behind the high standard and discipline set out, adding “The academy determined to alleviate poverty by providing functional education for students far and wide, with the core values of diligence, dedication, discipline, and determination.”
