Yenagoa—Ijaw elders and leaders of thought, weekend, urged President Goodluck Jonathan to remain steadfast, selfless and committed to his responsibilities as President of the country.
This was part the resolutions reached at consultative meeting of Ijaw elders and leaders of thought in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
The Ijaw opinion leaders also passed a vote of confidence on the President, expressing satisfaction with what they described as his commitment to the progress, peace, harmony and stability of the country.
A statement at the end of the consultative meeting condemned the voices of distraction aimed at thwarting the lofty achievements of the Federal Government under the leadership of Jonathan.
