Another women’s group falls for Obiano

Gov. Obiano

More women groups seem to be falling for the APGA candidate, Willie Obiano.

The latest women group to pledge allegiance to Obiano is the Women Door –to –Door Initiative for Willie Obiano Campaign, which yesterday described the APGA candidate as the most qualified person to succeed Governor Peter Obi in view of his rich background in managing human and financial resources.

The chairperson of the group, Mrs. Ebele Ejikeme said the APGA candidate is far ahead of other candidates in terms relevant issues in their manifestos that would help move the state forward from what Obi has done.

Obi, she observed, has brought discipline and decorum to the governance of the state and there is need for somebody who has track-record of performance in his previous endeavours to replace him.

“Chief Obiano is the only person among the contestants who can step into Obi’s big shoes and that is why Women Door- to – Door Initiative for Willie Obiano Governorship Campaign has taken it up upon itself to sensitize Anambra women on the need to vote for the APGA candidate on November 16, 2013,” she said.

Ejikeme said the group would move from house to house in all 177 communities in the 21 local government areas of the state to promote the candidature of Obiano, adding that women have the capacity to convince their fellow women in every household. She said they would also use the opportunity to debunk alleged falsehoods being peddled by the opposition against Chief Obiano because according to her, they have realized that he is the most credible candidate in the election.

 Ezeemo SHAPE’s up campaign

The governorship candidate of Progressives Peoples Alliance, PPA, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo has stormed the commercial city of Onitsha with his five –point cardinal programmes code –named “SHAPE”

SHAPE, he explained at the launching of his campaign at the All Saints Cathedral Church field, stands for security, health, agriculture, power and education.

He argued that once these five programmes are properly put in place, the economy of the state would transform in terms of job creation, industrialization, security of lives and property, qualitative free education at primary and secondary levels, qualitative health care delivery, among others.

Empty promises

He told the cheering crowd: “I will bring a change that will ensure a stable Anambra State.
I will bring a change that will ensure that Igbo will no longer be marginalized.
“I have come home to serve you and I want to make sure that you enjoy life.

We know that those who ruled you in the past deceived you by making empty promises, but I assure you that our promises will be fulfilled. “I have been deeply involved in philanthropic activities for the past 10 years with my personal resources and I assure you that if you give us your mandate, we will use state resources solely for the development of the state. “You asked me to come out to change our state for the better and here I am promising that I will serve you well.”

National chairman of PPA, Chief Sam Nkire said the party has given Anambra people the best candidate who will move the state to the next level and urged the electorate to vote massively for him.
