Dovado innovation breaks limitations of mobile routers

In recent months there has been an explosion in the number of 4G mobile WiFi hotspots devices quite often referred to as Mi-Fi on the market, and while their convenience and utility is not in question, they do come with certain inherent limitations. The WiFi range is often limited, covering perhaps just one room as opposed to an entire average-sized house or place of business.

Likewise, the maximum number of devices which can connect to the router are often limited to between 5-10 connections and lack Ethernet ports for wired devices. This, combined with a limited range, can lead to a huddling of users. The greatest drawback, however, is that maximum throughput is strangled by design in order to maximize on portability and battery life: often restricted to no more than 25-30Mbps.

But supplier of mobile broadband routers and software to 4G/LTE and 3G operators, Dovado has come up with a product which it said would allow owners of Mi-Fi to connect 4G mobile hotspots from leading vendors such as Huawei, ZTE and Sierra Wireless for faster connection with more people, over a greater distance.
