6 Nigerian cyclists for Tour de Cote d’Ivoire

Six Nigerian top cyclists will today in Abidjan join over 300 cyclists from other parts of Africa for the Tour de la reconciliation beginning today September 27th and end November 6th..2013: The cyclists, all male, left Lagos on Thursday by road with three officials to participate in the 10-day road race to prepare towards ECWAS Cycling tour holding in November.

The Technical Director of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN), Mohammed Bashiru, said the federation has commenced training of the cyclists in preparation for the ECOWAS Tour and African continental championship coming up in November and December  in Egypt..

He added that the federation has identified 12 male and 10 female cyclists out of which six each will be selected to represent the country in the Tour de la reconciliation in Cote D Ivoire, Tour de Faso from Octobeer 24 to November 6, 2013, the ECOWAS international cycling tour from Lagos to Abidjan from November 11-18, 2013 as well as the African continental championship in Egypt November 29 to  to 5th December 5, 2013.
