Prince Irabor Godday, a.ka., Shaba Mien-Mien, has taken a bold step to redefine his career in music as he drops his maiden album titled, “Testimony of a new man”, any moment from now.

The Edo State born gospel singer cum actor, said, his venturing into gospel music was as a result of the call he got from God.

According to the singer, before he was arrested by God, he lived a wayward life, wearing dreadlocks and engaging in an unholy activities. But he had to shave his dreadlocks after he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour.

According to tthe reggae turned gospel artiste, “I was formerly known as “Shaba Ugly” and I was into secular music until my encounter with God. As I got born again, I decided to change my stage name to “Shaba Mien-Mien” which means “Sweet”. I would not want any of my kids to copy my old lifestyle of drunkenness and drug abuse. That was one of the major reasons I changed my style of living , coupled with the call I had from God.

“God appeared to me in my dream and I had to answer his call. I am a graduate of Ambrose Alli University where I obtained a B.Sc in Educational Management. I am also an actor, and one of my works is a soap titled “White House” and it is currently on air. I have done movies with the late J.T Tom West, Ramsey Noah among other stars that I can’t even remember.

“I used to be a drug addict, a drunk, before I was arrested by God. But now, I am a changed person. I believe that my venturing is an act of God because it is an inspirational thing. God changed me from my old life to a new life. That’s why I titled my latest album, “Testimony of a new man,”Shaba Mien-Mien narrated.
