AKURE — THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Ondo State Chief Olusola Oke, yesterday, said that he has been vindicated by INEC Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega’s  open admittance of monumental corruption and compromise within Anambra State arm of his commission.

Oke had accused the commission of conniving with the Labour Party government in Ondo State to pad the voters register used in the last election which gave victory to Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

His appeal was recently dismissed by the Court of Appeal which, however, said that the lower court erred in describing the issue of loading the register as pre-election matter.

The Appeal Court said the issue is not a pre-election matter, but all the same dismissed the appeal for lack of merit.

Oke has gone to the supreme Court on the issue while Dr. Mimiko has also gone to the Supreme Court to file a cross appeal to challenge the decision of the Appeal Court on the issue.

However, Oke said through his Speacial Adviser on Media and Publicity, Kunle Adebayo in Akure that “there is nothing more to say but for Nigerians to see the dimension of the grand plan and threats to the 2015 elections and the future of democracy in our dear nation.”
