At last, NFC  new boss resumes

The newly appointed  Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) Dr. Danjuma Wurim Dadu finally assumed duty last Wednesday, with a pledge to re-engineer the corporation for the transformation of the Nigerian film industry and make it one of the very best in the world.

Consequently, he is to pursue sustainable programmes and activities that will reposition the NFC to tackle trends in film development. In this direction, the NFC will work towards the production of cartoons in the three major Nigerian languages and pidgin English.

Dadu accepted with humility, the magnanimity and kind consideration of President Goodluck Jonathan on his appointment to the exalted position of Chief Executive of the Nigerian Film Corporation.

Speaking at the handover/takeover ceremony, Dr. Dadu assured that his tenure as Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Film Corporation will witness tremendous improvement in the service delivery of the Corporation’s mandate. Dadu acknowledged the giant strides recorded by his predecessors in office, and stressed that no stone will be left unturned to ensure that he (Dadu) contributes his quota to the growth of the Nigerian Film Corporation and the Nigerian Film Industry.

Staff, the new NFC boss said, is the basic asset of any organization that seeks to succeed and deliver on its mandate, and as such, he would in the execution of the mandates pay attention to staff welfare, skills development, capacity building, training and re-training, so as to enhance and improve on performance output of staff for better efficiency and productivity.

Operations of the Corporation, Dadu further said, were going to be “Business in Character”, within the frame work of the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan. He assured filmmakers, members of the various industry guilds and associations, including other stakeholders of better days ahead.
