LAGOS — A 32-year-old driver with Nigerian Bottling Company Plc, Wale Orisanmi, was, yesterday, arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate Court, for allegedly stealing 14 cartoons of Five Alive Juice, belonging to the firm.
Orisanmi, who was docked before Magistrate Oshodi Makanju, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The police prosecutor Samson Ekikere, told the court that the defendant and others at large committed the alleged offence on May 16.
He was granted bail in the sum of N50,000, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the matter to June 24.
He said Orisanmi, conspired with others at large at about 7.30am on the said day to steal fourteen cartoons of Five Alive Juice which is valued at N30,800, propperty of Nigerian Bottling Company NBC Plc, in Ikeja.
According to him the offence committed is punishable under section 409, 285, of the criminal laws of Lagos state of Nigeria 2011.
When the charge preferred against the defendant was read to him, he pleaded not guilty to the two count charge leveled against him by the police.
