Abeokuta – The Ogun Police Command on Monday dispelled the rumour that three beheaded corpses were dumped on the Ijebu-Ode-Ibadan expressway on Sunday.

The command’s spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement on Monday in Abeokuta that the rumour  was calculated to create fear  in the minds of Nigerians.

“ The command wishes to state categorically that the rumour is the handiwork of mischief makers and should be disregarded by the general public.

“ The Commissioner of  Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, has assured the general public of the command’s commitment to  providing adequate security for all and sundry,”  the statement said. (NAN)
