Abuja – The Nigeria Women Professional League (NWPL) will hold its annual congress on Feb. 28 in Abuja, its Secretary, Isaac Ajisafe, said on Monday in Abuja.
Ajisafe, who disclosed this said that all was set to hold the congress before the deadline given by the Nigeria Football Association (NFA).
NFA had ordered the league’s management board to hold its congress within 90 after the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Dec. 13, 2012 in Port Harcourt.
“We are now ready for the congress which will take place on Feb. 28 in Abuja.
“All the club chairmen are expected to be in attendance as this will signal the end of the 2011/2012 season.
“Each of the clubs must have only one representative not two or three,’’ he said.
Ajisafe also said that the kick off date for the 2012/2013 league earlier announced for March 2 was tentative as it was only the congress that could ratify the decision. (NAN)
