As the nationwide strike called by the Labour and civil society groups to protest the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government enters its fourth day, angry protesters, this morning stormed the premises of African Independent Television, AIT, Alagbado, Lagos, demanding to be heard first-hand.

The Organised Private Sector says the sector is losing about N200 billion daily to the strike which started on Monday.

Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, in the country have accused both the federal and state governments of setting the stage to declare a state of emergency on the country to enable them ram through with their decision to remove fuel subsidy on the people.

AS the nationwide strike enters day four today, the Federal Executive Council, FEC, yesterday, rose from a crucial session, accusing the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Trade Union Congress, TUC, and the Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, of inflicting more socio-economic pains on Nigerians than the removal of the fuel subsidy.

LEADERS of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, NLC, yesterday asked the civil servants especially those under the payroll of the Federal Government to ignore the threat of no-work no-pay by the government because it was not implementable.
