Stanley Okafor  is a Nigerian philanthropist cum football lover  who is based in Japan. Last Saturday, he generously  gave out electronic gadgets ranging from Samsung Galaxy Tab, Black Berry to iPAD to each member of the U-20 Women National Team and officials as part of his own way of appreciating the team’s excellent performance at the on-going FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan. He spoke to Hi Groove concerning  the gesture and other issues.

My Childhood As a child, I was over-pampered by my parents. But then, I was stubborn. I could recall on several occasions when I disobeyed my mother just to play street soccer. There  was a day  my mother asked me to wash some of our dirty dishes. I refused to wash them instead, I took to the street to play soccer. When I got back home, she flogged me  mercilessly.

Passion for football It started right from my childhood.  In as much as I did not want to pursue a career in football, I have a strong passion for sports. I could remember during  my secondary school days when I  used to spend my last money to buy football kits and jerseys. I could also recall when I  sought for financial support from my cousin to enable me buy a copy of  Complete Football Magazine.

Falconets, its officials and sponsors I  want the team to feel at home in Japan. I told the coach and the officials when they arrived here that I would do everything possible to ensure that the team make it to the finals of the competition. And  I  thank God, it is working out as planned . I gave out some items to the team just to encourage  them as well as boost their morale.

Fashion and style

Fashion is good but I don’t have a particular style. I  just wear any thing that makes me look good. My dressing will not be complete without an accompanying handbag. The handbag contains my phones, wallet, money and other valuables. I also like to wear traditional clothes like Ankara, Guinea Brocade..

I like to wear customized clothes, shoes, belts and quality perfumes.

My mood doesn’t affect the way I  dress. I dress according to the occasion. Like here in Japan, the weather condition counts a lot when it comes to dressing.

Taste for gadgets

I like gadgets a lot. But  I like  iPAD more than any other gadget.

Smoking and drinking

I don’t smoke but I  drink occasionally.

Me and Woman

I have somebody very close to my heart. Even at that,  when it comes to women, I don’t get carried away easily.

I am a strong willed person. No matter how a woman wants my attention, in as much as I  am not interested in her, nothing can make me fall in love with that  woman.

My kind of  woman

My idea of an ideal woman is a woman who is submissive. She must have carriage in addition to looking  attractive.
