The Minister of Power, Prof. Bart Nnaji, has set up an eight-man panel to investigate pension matters in the power sector.
Inaugurating the panel in Abuja last week, the minister gave the terms of reference to include:
Investigate the status of Pension in the Power Sector vis-à-vis the Pension Laws.
Identify officers involved in any act of misconduct.
Review the Report of Agary Committee on Pension Matters.
Recommend measures to guard against occurrence of similar incidents in the future as well as sanctions to be taken against culprits.
Mr. Joseph Ajiboye, former Auditor General of the Federation is the Chairman of the panel, while other members include:
Mr. Vesley A. Zafi, Director Pensions, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation
Alh. Babayo Shehu, Director Funds, Office of Accountant General of the Federation
Mr. Abbo Mamman, Assistant General Manager, National Pensions Commission
Mr. John O. Chukwu, Director of Procurement, Federal Ministry of Works
Hon. Nicholas O. Agbo, Labor Adviser & SA to Hon. Minister of Power
Mrs. Adetutu A. Shoetan, Legal Adviser, Federal Ministry of Power, and,
Dr. Samuel J. Agbogun, MD/CEO Nigeria Electricity Liability Mgt Ltd/gte, as Secretary
