UGHELLI—DELTA State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare, has decried the alleged ultimatum issued to President Goodluck Jonathan by the Islamic sect, urging all well meaning Nigerians to condemn the sect.

Muoboghare, a former chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Delta State University, Abraka Chapter, urged the President to take the bull by the horns and unravel those sponsoring the Islamist sect.

He said: “The activities of the sect are targeted at Jonathan and aimed at bringing down his administration or intimidating him out of office or worse still, ensuring that he did not contest the 2015 presidential election.

“The ugly turn of events is because Jonathan hails from the South-South, which some people in other regions had regarded as an insignificant part of the country despite the fact that the region accounts for over 80 percent of the country’s wealth.”
