3,000 PDP members decamp to ACN

BENIN— FORMER Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, Mr Edward Sado; former councillor and former youth leader of the party, Peter Ekun, led over 3.000 members of the party to Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, at two separate rallies at Okpella and Akoko Local Government Areas of the state.

Sado, state chairman of PDP, during the tenure of Prof  Osarhiemen Osunbor, told the crowd that he decided to join ACN with his supporters due to what he described as the ‘magic’ being performed in the state by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

He said: “Oshiomhole is an encyclopedia of good governance for the people of Edo State. I know him as a man that does not go back on his word. I had watched keenly and carefully while in PDP and I saw his good works, so I decided to join ACN  to be part of the development.”

Receiving the decampees, Oshiomhole assured that development would be accelerated in Okpella and that PDP would be pulled down in the state.

In Akoko Edo, a large number of PDP faithful across the ten wards,   led by the PDP Youth Leader, Ekun, also joined the ACN.
