ABUJA – THE Federal Government yesterday formally reacted to the call by the House of Representatives on President Goodluck Jonathan to suspend the removal of fuel subsidy, saying the legislators’ decision remains advisory and nothing more.

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, who fielded questions from State House correspondents after a meeting with President Jonathan and the Minister of Labour, Mr. Emeka Wogu, dismissed the call on the president as a mere advice, which the President is at liberty to accept or reject.

Mr. Adoke who refused to take questions on the ongoing strike action by labour, when he was approached, said: “Gentlemen we are not talking to you. The matter is in court, it is subjudice. I cannot comment on it.”

However, on the resolution of the House, Mr. Adoke declared that “it is advisory, it is advisory”.
