Dolphins declare Ajagun ‘missing’

By KATE OBODO

Dolphins FC of Port – Harcourt during the week  declared midfielder, Abduljeleel  Ajagun absent from the team without official permission from the club.

Spokesman of the club China Acheru revealed to Sunday Vanguard Sports that Ajagun absconded from camp more than a week ago and has not made any contact with the club neither has he been seen since then.

According to Acheru : “I heard he told some of his teammates that  he was going to Kaduna but never informed the club officially. Now, his phones are not reachable and we are sure he might  be out of the country for  trials in Europe,” he  said.

He however,  added that the technical crew and management of the team are yet to come out with a position on the issue as he  will not go on unpunished.

“We are also going to write to the League body to let them know of this recent development while we wait for the technical crew and management on the next line of action,” he concluded.

It would be recalled that Ajagun was once  suspended by the club due to indiscipline and also  dropped from the national U-20 team for truancy and absconding from duties.
