Director- General of Delta State Direct Labour Agency, DLA, Mr. Emmanuel Igbini, has been asked to resign, following allegations of high handedness and abuse of office against him.
Chairman of Alliance of State Chairmen of Registered Political Parties in Delta State, Mr. Christian Abeh, in a statement, weekend, said the agency under Igbini’s administration had failed woefully, as roads in Asaba and other parts of the state were begging for maintenance.
He said: “We are disappointed in Igbini as he had failed the opposition parties, which happened to be his political constituency and also the governor, who appointed him.”
According to him, “at a meeting of political parties’ state chairmen in September, Igbini said he was waiting for the rains to stop before the agency could start road maintenance but up till now, the agency is yet to know that the rainy season ended long ago.”
