Prosecutors in the country have converged in Abuja for a two-day brainstorming on meeting the challenges of effective prosecution of offences in the 21st century.

The event, organised by Legal Defence and Assistance Project, LEDAP, which is the first National Conference on Criminal Prosecution and the seventh Directors of Public Prosecution Forum, begins today.

National Coordinator of LEDAP, Mr Chino Obiagwu, noted in a statement that the event is bringing together “heads of the prosecutions in the ministries of justice, specialized agencies and also police legal units, to exchange information, share ideas and explore areas for mutual assistance.”
