Northern Territory office wins Total MD’s Cup

Suspense, excitement and a resolute defensive display by the Northern Territory office encapsulated the final of the second Total Nigeria ND’s Cup tournament concluded at the Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos at the weekend.

Deservedly, the Northern Territory office successfully defended the trophy as the Kelechi Nkwazema-led team defeated their Head office counterparts with a solitary goal scored by Adewale Adisa in the first half of the thrilling encounter.

The fans were in constant hilarious mood as the players continued to entertain on the pitch. The head office players fought hard to press for goals but were unfortunate to have been presented with goalkeeper Sani Bala who stood firm between the posts and warded off all challenges to give the Northern Territory office the cup.

The trophy was contested for by male staff of Total Nigeria drawn from the Northern Territory, Western Territory, Eastern Territory and the Head office.

At the end of the match, the Managing Director of the oil marketing company, Francois Boussagol who was represented by Felix Boni, the executive director, Finance said the tournament was a demonstration of the company’s quest for healthy living among the staff and the society generally.

“It is very important to bring the staff together, do some sport and interact among each other. We want to strike a balance between healthy living and productivity,” the MD said.
