Madu urges investment in skill acquisition

The Chief Executive Officer, Multimix Academy, Mr. Obiora Madu, has advised that investment in skill aquisition and certification would guarantee a better future and also eradicate unemployment in the country. He also said that certification added to University Degrees gives you added advantage when seeking for job.

He said this during the graduation ceremony and presentation of awards to graduates of the Institution who successfully completed their International Trade Certification Programme. “This is one of the certification of international standard currently accepted by over 153 countries of the world offered by an American Institute affiliated Multimix.

Madu added that the trade industry is the engine of the world because it has to do with goods and services; it has shipping, trucking, warehousing, clearing process, custom issues even financing. “And research reveals also that supply chain jobs will continue to lead in the couple of years to come, so positioning yourself and defending your certificate matters a lot”. Therefore, we ensure that students are given the best, equal to international standard because we don’t embark on unethical things and today we have our records of many after graduation are today in multi-nationals.

According to him, employers and the entire economy of Nigeria is looking for skill and not degree. So, certification matters a lot.

In the same vein, at the Presidential Award ceremony, Abuja, Multimix Academy for the second year in a row had been recognized for its pioneering and leading role in the promotion of international trade, logistics and supply chain management and non-oil export education in Nigeria and secondly Nigerian Non-oil Export Conference, Exhibition and Awards (NNECEA) 2011, for significantly enhancing the growth of the non-oil export sector in Nigeria.’

He noted that in the last ten years, Multimix Academy has been very consistent in the provision of competency based learning opportunity in the area of Global Trade Logistics and Supply Chain Management to the business sector in Nigeria. It improves private-public dialogue, creating a platform for Government and industry to communicate about trade policies, export incentives, and industry-wide challenges.
