Its been two weeks the Eagles were eliminated from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations tournament and young attack Ahmed Musa is still feeling the pain of missing his first ever Nations Cup.
Musa who plays for VVV Venlo of Holland believes playing in AFCON next year, would have been a memorable experience if Nigeria had qualified.
He told Sports Vanguard Abuja that , the Nation’s Cup could have been the first big tournament of his career especially as it will enable him play with experienced players in the team and also Africa professionals in the Nation’s Cup.
“ It is painful to have missed out in the 2012 Nation’s Cup following our 2-2 draw with Guinea in Abuja. It is really a disaster as no nobody expected that Nigeria would not be in the Nation’s Cup. Indeed, the whole scenario baffles me.
“I feel bad because I was already looking forward to playing in the AFCON; but what would I say another opportunity is come in the future. More so since I have more years to play I have to accept the ouster in good faith.
