Cleric tasks FG on security

By PROVIDENCE OBUH

General Secretary of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Supo Ayokunle has called on the Federal Government to ensure security of lives and property in every part of the country, as Lagos Baptist Church ordained 18 pastors into the mission.

The cleric made the call during the Lagos East Baptist Conference LEBC, ordination services 2011 in Yaba, Lagos, stating that the escalating spate of bombing in different parts of the country has called for an urgent security conscious-ness, stressing:

“I want to tell those who are ruling us to take security of lives and property very seriously bec-ause the people perpetrating evil must not prevail against the authority of the people. We should bring all those behind this happenings to book so that others might learn to fear God and allow us to have peace in our country”.

Similarly, conference secret-ary LEBC, Rev. Awotunde tasked Nigerians on unity, saying “all this issue of bombing here and there should stop for us to build a nation of our dreams. I appeal to our government to pay more attention to secur-ity of life and property so that this nation can become one of the giants in the world”.
