Nigeria vs Ghana: Organiser in tears

By Tony Ubani

One man was in tears  yesterday.
He was said to be the organizer of the friendly. He had invested so much and would lose so much by the cancellation of the match. He could not take questions and was not only overwhelmed but totally lost. Pity.

Muda Lawal’s family disappointed

It was disappointment  for members of the family of late Green Eagles icon, Mudashiru Lawal who were supposed to be part of the spectators at  the Vicarage Road stadium for the Super Eagles/Black Stars encounter yesterday.

NFF’s Acting General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu had said last month in Abuja that the NFF would invite Muda Lawal’s wife and two of his five children who are based in London, to the    international friendly as special guests.

Although the football house kept its word, the match was put off by Watford Police for security reasons.

Enyeama disappoints Shorunmu

Ike Shorunmu would not understand that Vincent Enyeama would not honour a high class international friendly because of visa problem.

Enyeama has been in the Eagles since 2002 and should by now be seen as one of the leaders of the team. That is where Shorunmu places him.

But he may lose that rating if he does not change and show leadership qualities.

Failing to apply in time for UK visa was disappointing to Shorunmu who repeatedly said that Enyeama should be one of the leaders in the team.
