e-Government appoints new chairman

The Board of Directors of National e-Government Strategies Limited has appointed Chief J.B. Fumudoh, as chairman while the board terminated the appointment of Matrix Solicitors as company’s secretary and legal advisers and also appointed Messrs CNS/Adefulu, as Company Secretary and Legal Adviser.

A director of the organisation, Dr. Felix Babatunde Obada, disclosed this to Sunday Business, adding that the board has also placed on indefinite suspension top management of National eGovernment Strategies Limited led by Mr. Gbenga Adebusuyi, including Mr. L.A. Ajiboye, Alhaji Adamu Tanko, and Mr. Segun Agbabiaka.

The board has constituted an Ad hoc Board Audit Committee to look into the books and accounts of the company, with a view to ensuring good corporate governance and plug the ceaseless wastages that have become pervasive over the last six years.

“The Board is mindful of protecting the vision and fortunes of the company to ensure that the ordinary citizens’ benefit from the eGovernment initiative through improved efficiencies and transparency in governance and this should begin with the company itself”.

The Board in taking these far-reaching decisions is intent on protecting the company and to ensure speedy realisation of the shared goals of all stakeholders. Consequently, the board has also appointed Mr. Eric Amagada as interim Administrator, to oversee the affairs of the company pending the appointment of a new management team.
