Search for Indomie Award heroes kicks off

The 2011 Indomie Independence Day Award search for those who will be Nigerian heroes is on top gear.

According to reports by Field Consult, the Independent Research firm commissioned to carry out the search process, information has so far been gathered from 6 states so far visited among the 10 states selected for this year’s edition of the project.

Speaking during a telephone chat on the Search process, head of the team of Field Consult Limited, Mr. Yinka Williams, confirmed that the search has been carried out in Lagos, Ogun, Nassarawa, Kwara, Gombe and Kano States.

He also explained that the search for the heroic children is different from the conventional research field work because it requires a lot of time and effort to get leads, digging and following up to get the desired stories.

Mr. Williams stressed further that the company has engaged vast experienced executive Interviewers and Personnel to work at every stage of the entire process due to the sensitive nature of the Research.

“In view of the exploratory nature of the information required in this peculiar type of study, the qualitative technique, via Extended Depth Interview (EDI) technique is being used in other to meet the objectives. This is to enable the interviewer pin down every piece of information of the concerned individual”.

He added that the use of this research methodology is meant to offer free exchange of environment which would in turn motivate the respondent to reveal motives and attitudes and also allows insight into the behaviour and thinking of individuals.
