N-Delta youths laud S-South govs on moves to set up firms

UGHELLI— NIGER Delta Youth Movement, NDYM, has applauded moves by South-South Governors to establish an electricity company and an oil and gas firm in the region.

The group in a statement, Wednesday, described the move as a step in the right direction to use the resources in the region to develop the region and its people.

NDYM in statement by its National President, Mr Godspower Odenema, said it was prepared to unfold its  peace and security blueprint and peace building advocacy, so as to restore peace in the region.

Congratulating the Niger Delta governors on their victory at the general elections, the group said, “we are ready to create the right atmosphere for the proposal of our governors to sail through.”

On the on-going trial of the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Dimeji Bankole, the group said, “it is our position that EFCC, ICPC and the judiciary should relentlessly fight and conquer this evil called corruption.”
