Immigration arraign 7 persons for forgery,unlawful possession of passport and trafficking

Seven persons, including three women were arraigned recently at the Federal High Court in Lagos State, by the Nigeria Immigration Service for various immigration offences, ranging from forgery of the Nigeria Standard passport, trafficking of passport to unlawful possession of excuse passport data pages, property of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The accused persons identified as, Uche Uba, Michael Busayo, Kolawole Olamilekan, Seyi Talabi, Ngozi Eze, Olubukola Odutola and Tina Nwokolo, were arrested separately by Immigrations officials during raids at various criminal hideouts in the state, between the months of December 2010 and April 2011.

Three of the accused persons Michael Busayo, Kolawole Olamilekan and Seyi Talabi who were arraigned on a five- count charge pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to charge No. FHC/L/219C/11, which reads: That you Michael Busayo (also known as pastor) (Male) of 18, Olaugun Road, Agbado station Agbado Oja, Lagos, Kolawole Olamilekan (male) of No 4, Aromire Street, Lagos Island and Seyi Talabi (male) of No.3, Ganiyu Close Idimu Lagos, sometime in April 2011 or thereabout in Lagos within the Jurisdiction of this Court, conspired to forge Nigeria Standard Passports Property of the Federal Government of Nigeria, thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code CAP C.28, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria. 2004.

That you Michael Busayo (also known as PASTOR) (Male) of 18, Olaugun Road, Agbado station Agbado Oja: Lagos, Kolawole Olamilekan (male) of No.4, Aromire Street, Lagos Island and Seyi Talabi (male) of No.3, Ganiyu Close, Idimu Lagos, sometime in April, 2011 or thereabout .in Lagos within the Jurisdiction of this court, forged Nigerian Standard Passport No.A0.1. 631516 thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 465 and punishable under Section 467 (a) & J) of the Criminal Code Act CAP C.28 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

That you Michael Busayo (also known as PASTOR) (Male) of 18, Olaugun Road, Agbado station Agbado Oja, Lagos, Kolawole Olamilekan (male) of No. 4, Arornire Street, Lagos Island and Seyi Talabi (male) of No.3, Ganiyu Close Idimu Lagos, sometime in April, 2011 or thereabout in Lagos within the Jurisdiction of this court, made and had in your possession without Lawful authority or excuse Passport data pages Property of the Government of the Federation of Nigeria, thereby Committed an offence punishable under Section 480 of the Crimirlal Code Act CAP C. 28 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

Michael Busayo (also known as pastor) (Male) of 18, Olaugun Road, Agbado station Agbado Oja, Lagos, impersonated immigration personnel with intention to defraud members of the public thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 484 of the Criminal Code Act CAP C28 Law of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

That you Michael Busayo (also known as pastor) (Male) of 18 Olaugun Road, Agbado station Agbado Oja, Lagos, Kolawole Olamilekan (male) of No 4 Aromire Street, Lagos Island and Seyi Talabi (male) of NO.3 Ganiyu Close Idimu Lagos, sometime in April . 2011 or thereabout in Lagos within the Jurisdiction of this court, without

Lawful authority or excuse with the intention to defraud the public made and executed Nigeria Standard Passport No. A01631516 thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 473 of the Criminal ~Code Act Cap C.28 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria. 2004.

The Controller of Immigration Services, Lagos State Command, SA Ahemd, who commented on the development urged members of the public to desist from patronizing touts , in order to avoid being defrauded .
