President Goodluck Jonathan, Sunday, was sworn in as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the federal Republic of Nigeria, at a colourful ceremony held at the Eagles Square , Abuja.

Below is the timeline of the inauguration activities.

9.04 am. Colour Party carrying Military flags led by Commander, Brigade of Guard, Brigadier- General Emmanuel Atere and Commander, Inauguration, Lt. Col. Isiaka Owolabi Olatunji.

9.16am. Service Chiefs Take Salute

9.45am. Speaker Dimeji Bankole arrives

9.40am. Arrival of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu

11.05 am. Opening Christian prayer by His Grace, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh, the Primate of All Nigeria, Anglican Communion

11.14am. Opening Muslim Prayer by Ustaz Musa Muhammed, Chief Imam of National Mosque

11.20am.  President Goodluck Jonathan steps out for the Parade and accompanied by Brigadier-General Atere and Lt. Col. Isiaka Owolabi Olatunji

11.27am. President returns to Presidential Pavilion

12.16pm. Calisthenics Display by 1,050 Children drawn from schools in Nigeria and sang in different languages with very aesthetic display. They dressed in Pink and Blue, white socks, white Canvass, blue, pink, yellow and green white green.

12. 43pm. Arrival of Chief Registrar of Supreme Court of Nigeria, Sunday Olorundahunsi to the podium for the oath taking ceremony

12. 44pm The Chief Registrar invites Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu to perform the oath taking function

1.05pm. Presentation of Coat of Arms to President Jonathan by the Chief of Defence Staff through the Commander, Brigade of Guard
