Kogi PDP youth leader shot

ABUJA – Youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Igala/Umelo/Odolu local government area, Nda Musa, was shot at the weekend  allegedly on the orders of a minister (names with-held).

Sunday Vanguard gathered that the crime of the youth leader, who was shot on the leg, was his refusal to follow the directives of the minister  to mobilize the electorate  as well as the youths of the area to vote for him (minister) in  the Igala/Umelo/Odolu State House of Assembly elections.

Mr. Friday Sani Makama of the PDP won the House of Assembly seat in the constituency with 11, 555 votes to defeat the ACN candidate, Raymond Amma, who polled 4, 003 votes.

Notwithstanding the shooting, the victim is said to be in  detention at the Kogi State CID.

Commissioner of Police, Kogi State, CP Abakasanga, who was posted out during the elections by the Inspector General of Police as part of his strategy to ensure that police personnel were not used for rigging but returned, is said to be aware of the development and is very annoyed with some of his officers for allowing such development to happen while he was away.
