Abuja -The CPC said in Abuja,Thursday, that it would not join any government of national unity.
In a statement by Mr Rotimi Fashakin, the party`s National Publicity Secretary, the party said that government of national unity was not in the party`s agenda.
“The attention of the CPC has been drawn to the call by the PDP-led Federal Government to opposition parties for participation in a government of national unity.
“The CPC wishes to state, quite unequivocally, that this is a no-brainer for us; we shall not be part of this impending arrangement,’’the statement said.
It explained that the party was rejecting the offer because it did not believe that the just-concluded presidential election was free and fair.
It stated that the party had resolved, based on collated evidence at its disposal, to seek judicial redress.(NAN)
