NO fewer than 5,000 persons have received free medical services for various ailments courtesy of the ACN candidate for the Ika Federal Constituency election in to the National Assembly.

They were treated at separate health programmes organised by Dr. Mrs. Isioma Okobah at Owere-Olubor, Ekwoma, Mbiri, Otolokpo, Idumuesah and Emuhu communities in Ika Federal Constituency.

The beneficiaries who cut across all ages with different health related problems, were diagnosed and subjected to thorough medical checkup and provided drugs by the team of medical doctors led by Okobah.

She stressed the need for rural dwellers to periodically visit public health institutions to carry out medical checks in order to know their health status, She disclosed that more than 20 communities in Ika Nation have so far benefited from the free health care programme which started about five years ago.

Some of the beneficiaries commended the initiative amme saying that they have not witnessed such a philanthropic gesture from a single individual, saying the ACN candidate’s interest in the health of the people was most beneficial.

Some of the beneficiaries included persons suffering from diabete, arthritis, high blood pressure, general body weakness/ pains, malaria, visual impairment and other sickness associated with old age.
