IBADAN – CHIEF of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, has expressed satisfaction with the preparation of the 2 Division, Nigeria Army, Odogbo Ibadan, on the election which kicks off on Saturday across the country.
He said this as he called on politicians and other political stakeholders to play the game according to the rule.
The Army boss who paid a visit on Oyo State Governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, advised eligible voters to be law abiding so that the poll could be violence free.
He enjoined the citizens of Oyo State to remain peaceful and law abiding during the forthcoming general elections.
While commending the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Div. Nigeria Army, Ibadan, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Abubakar on his preparation in the South West for the election, he disclosed that his visit to the governor was to express his gratitude for the cordial relationship between the army and the people of the state.
Governor Akala responded that he would always live up to his responsibility as the Chief Security Officer of the state.
