By Princewill Ekwujuru & Esther Onyegbule
As part of its resolve to effectively discharge its responsibilities on mobile advertisement registration, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has signed a partnership agreement with Courteville Investment Plc. (Operators of AutoReg) to manage the registration of all branded vehicles in Lagos State.

According to Temitope Akande, Head, Corporate Affairs of LASAA, said the new agreement will see LASAA use the existing vehicle registration platform of Courteville i.e. AutoReg in the registration and issuance of mobile advert permits. The partnership will also see Courteville provide a mobile advertisement database for LASAA while also establishing mobile processing outlets (including existing AutoReg processing outlets).

Also the partnership will accelerate the registration and renewal of mobile advertisement by the members of the public. These shall be done through the use of exisiting designated access points via the AutoReg processing outlets employing the business solutions availed by the outlets. Under the new arrangement, Courteville is also expected to design, develop and provide appropriate mobile advertisement documentations including printing of vehicle licences registration stickers which will convey LASAA approval for branding.

The new relationship will also ensure the establishment of an efficient mobile advertisement management system to ensure that all branded motor vehicles are captured as fleet for mobile advert permit. To achieve the anticipated success, part of the agreement is to engage in the use of hand-held device called LASPECTORS (a variant of the Auto
Reg.Inspector) customised for the purpose of providing LASAA with remote verification and authentication of all approved mobile advertisements in Lagos State.
