An Abuja Magistrate court sitting in Zone 6, has reminded a 22 years old labourer, Bonboi Abdulmumini of Mabuchi village Abuja in prison custody for raping a minor.

One Alice Dolgama of Mabuchi village Abuja told the police that the accused on January 30 this year, seduced and had sexual intercourse with her daughter.

The police arraigned Bonboi on procuration of minor-girl contrary to section 275 of the Penal Code. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and appealed to the court for bail, which was later turned down by the court.

The police prosecutor, Simon Ibrahim told the court that the accused seduced the girl and had illegal sexual intercourse with her.

Magistrate Azubuike Okeagu in his ruling ordered that the accused be reminded in prison custody and adjourned the case till March 11, for hearing.
