FG partners developer on N350m Minna housing project

The federal government is in partnership with an estate developer to build bungalows and duplexes for residential purpose in Minna , Niger state, worth about N350 million.

Speaking recently on the deal, representative of the developing firm, Mr Ben Garba, noted that the total sum being injected into the project is privately sourced, and that the project is being executed as a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme.

He added that access to the project which is being packaged as an owner-occupier housing scheme, will be made at the convenience of potential subscribers as only the sum of N56,000 is required to be paid on monthly basis over a period of 10 years.

“The housing scheme is friendly to customers as we have a considerably lenient mortgage packages that will not be so much of a burden to prospective house owners,” he said.

The estate developer noted that the houses are in limited numbers, with two bedroom apartment going for N4.2 million, three bedroom flat for N8 million, while a duplex will go for N18 million.
