Goldie, Mo’Cheddah dare Sultan, Terry tha rapman

It’s October and the last quarter albums are rolling in fast. It’s the debutantes versus the old timers.
Goldie set the ball rolling last Wednesday in Ikeja, Lagos when she officially debuted with her 15-track collection including the super hit- ‘You know it’ which is famous for the ‘mo le gbo ko lowo e’ hook.

The eLDee produced and featured track had watered fans’ appetite for Goldie’s debut which she finally dropped last week and called ‘Gold’. The pop album is released by Kennis Music and features cameos from Banky W, Magnito; and label mates Minjin, Jaywon, Joe El, FEMI including label boss, Keke Ogungbe.

Soon came Sunday and Sound Sultan joined in the album party when he unveiled his latest collection titled Mission 2010 at Rehab, Lagos. Entry into the venue was easy, buy a copy of Mission 2010 for N1000 and proceed into the hall for party.

This is the fifth album coming from the singer producer famed for hits like Oko won lode, E bami kigbe ole and Jagbajantis, among many others. His fourth album was titled SS4 and was released two years ago.

A popular single earlier released off Mission 2010 is the lead single and video titled 2010. The song is a social commentary baring the challenges of surviving in Nigeria and the hopes that pull the common man through.

Two days from now, Monday to be precise, the very anticipated well touted Boys Are Not Smiling (BANS) will be available for purchase all over the country. GlassHouse Inc. and MegaPhunk Records, minders of Terry Tha Rapman, had last week made available the cover art for the album as well as track listings.

BANS is Terry’s sophomore album and is well-equipped by appearances from fellow rapper MI, Sound Sultan, Cartiar, Terry G and Six Foot Plus.

The album houses Hip Hop World award winning track – Sample remix which features Pherowshuz and Stereoman. Also included is the Meka E produced Boyz don Hammer. Other promising tracks on the album will include Ojoro ft Terry G and Get Up ft Mo’Cheddah.

Next Wednesday will welcome Mo’Cheddah to the game as she debuts with Franchise Celebrity. After serenading us with her break-out single, If you want me, the teenager is finally ready with her first full body of work which she’s titled Franchise Celebrity.

Other songs on the album include ‘Ko ma roll’, Uncensored, In the morning, Best friend and Chuddy K’s ‘Shampoo’ as bonus. Naeto C, late Da Grin,

Othello and Willy Bang all featured on the album.
