Akindele goes to the Ghetto

After the success recordedwith her  comedy film “Jenifa”, Funke Akindele is set to rule the screen again with the premiering of her long awaited film entitled “ Ómo Ghetto.”

The movie, starring top Yoruba actresses is due for premiere on 24th of  October, at the Exhibition hall of the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu. HVP gathered that security have been beefed around the theatre complex ahead of the release party which willhave in attendance the high and   mighty in the society.

Actress Rounke Oshodi and Jide Olu, according our source will anchor the event, which will also witness a grand performance by artistes like African China, Baba Nee  of Ope Banwo’s stingomania records who did the soundtrack of the movie and Omo Baba amongst other acts.

Omo Ghetto, initially scheduled to premiere at the New African Stand497 Central Avenue Newark, New York, is described as “something special for all fans of Funke Akindele.”

With the premiering of this block-bluster movie, Funke is surely not relenting  in her effort to continue to distinguish herself through her movies which are predictable, costumes and humourous in nature.
