ABAKALIKI—BASED on what his constituents described as effective representation, Senate Committee Chairman on Aviation, Senator Anyim Ude, has come under pressures by a coalition of youth organizations in his constituency to seek re-election for a second term in 2011 general elections.
The youths, under the aegis of Ebonyi South Youth Association, said their position on the mandate renewal came after taking stock of numerous self, state and federal government-sponsored infrastructural projects Senator Ude attracted to the zone.
The youths appealed to the senator to go for second term so that more infrastructures could be brought to the zone.
“We wish to let you know that the entire youths of Ebonyi South are ready to work with you and would want you to please accept our plea for you to seek for re-election because they said one good turn deserves another,” the youths pleaded.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the senator, National President of the association, Mr. Chima Agwuama, stated that Senator Ude’s effective leadership contributed to the current up-grading of Akanu-Ibiam Airport in Enugu to an international status and reconstruction and renovation of Oshiri Cattle Ranch in Onicha local government area.
