Winner of the 2010 edition of The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant has finally emerged. After months of rigorous screening, and preparations thirty delegates drawn from the zonal screening held in Benin, Port-Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos has produced Miss Amuzie Fiona, representing Plateau as the winner of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2010.
The organizers, of the MBGN pageant, Silverbird Entertainment noted that the competition is aimed at promoting tourism, hospitality and entertainment in Nigeria and also promote national/international identity. The winner becomes the role model of the youths as a true Nigerian woman; firmly establish the country as tourist location, provide exposure for the country on an international platform to improve the image of the countryâ€.
Highlight of the event was the handing over by former MBGN Miss Glory Chukwu Winner 2009, to the new queen Miss Amuzie Fiona. Miss Amuzie Fiona received 3 million naira, and a brand new car as the grand prize, while the first-runner up Miss Niger, who will represent Nigeria in the Miss Universe beauty pageant received 1 million naira. The second-runner up, will represent Nigeria in the Miss Tourism Queen International beauty pageant, she also received 1 million naira.
