Panabiz out with new colour printing solutions

The Nigerian imaging market is all set for a major boost with the introduction of Panasonic range of Small Office Home Office (SOHO) imaging solutions. Panabiz, is the sole representative of Panasonic in Nigeria.

The new Panasonic range of multi_functional colour printers, KX MC6000 series, is targeted at top executives and Small Office Home Office  users; featuring a new built in SD memory card slot that enables users to print directly thus avoiding any PC interface.

According to the company’s General Manager, Kunal Malhotra, these new machines, have been incorporated with all the features that are offered in its A3 colour Printer/Copier lineup.

He noted that with the launch of the Panasonic KX MC6000 Series, high quality resolution colour printing, copying and scanning can be done in a much more economical way with greater ease.

Malhotra explained that these printers suit the needs of small departments and top executives in businesses, who for reasons of privacy or convenience require a local device that can print and distribute documents to the same high standard as departmental A3 devices.

He added that the KX MC6000 Series consists of a 20 pages per minute colour A4 printer, flatbed copier, colour scanner and fax; the sorts of productivity features not normally found on A4 desktop devices.

It includes an in built 50 sheet automatic document feeder that speeds up the scanning and copying of mixed batches or multi page documents. It also features a duplex unit that enables users to print on both sides of the page and produce vibrant, full colour booklets.

He further explained that scanned documents and images can be saved as PDFs, JPEGs or TIFFS and then archived, incorporated into electronic documents or converted into editable text using bundled ‘Read iris’ optical character recognition (OCR) software.

For him, the scan to email functionality lets the users send colour documents directly from the device to the mailboxes of intended recipients at zero extra cost. This functionality saves the user from an otherwise double effort of first sending the scan to personal computer and then mailing it from there.

He added that the top of the range model KX MC6260 also features an SD card slot that lets you scan to and print from an SD card, independent of a PC. It is also equipped with a 3.6 inch colour LCD screen for simpler job programming and viewing of thumbnail images.
