Group faults Uduaghan’s adoption for 2nd term

By Festus Ahon

UGHELLI—A  pressure group, the Equity Guide International, has frowned on the spate of adoption of Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, for a second term by the people of Isoko ethnic nationality.

The group, in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Morrister Idibra, said: “We of the Equity Guide are most concerned about the spate of adoption coming from Isoko ethnic nationality.

“Some groups called themselves Isoko PDP Elders and Leaders adopting the governor for a second tenure, declaring that they were speaking for the entire Isoko people.

“Another group, led by a former distinguished Senator who was denied a second tenure because of rotational mutual agreement among the three tribes in Delta South, came out and said that no Isoko man would be allowed to run for governorship seat under PDP. Some other groups have used DESOPADEC as a campaign tool.

“Those who spoke purportedly on behalf of Isoko are deceiving the governor because most of them are expired politicians.”
