“One of the greatest sources of illness in the world is an empty wallet.  If you give a person an opportunity to earn what they are worth – this is a powerful remedy” – Rex Maughan, Chairman/CEO, Forever Living Products International.

All Hail Nigeria's SONYA Queen, Miss Omonigho Magdalene. She beat other contestants to emerge winner at the Forever 10th Anniversary celebrations in Lagos.

For almost one week, Tuesday, March 30 to Saturday, April 3, 2010, renowned health and beauty products multi-level marketing company, Forever Living Products (Nigeria) Limited, (FLP) rolled out the drums to celebrate 10 years of its operations in Nigeria.

The celebrations entailed a press conference by company Managing Director (Nigeria and Benin Republic), Mr. Cornelius Tay, a lecture by Dr. Abayomi Aiyesimoju, a novelty football match between FLP staff and company independent distributors, with the former winning 2-0, and a SONYA Beauty Queen contest.

Briefing the media, Mr. Tay spoke of the worldwide acceptability of the FOREVER brand with more than 200 products introduced globally and nearly 150 of these being marketed or in the process of being registered in the country through a network of 206,877 registered independent FLP distributors.

According to Tay,  “We invite all interested Nigerians to become one large army of Forever Living Products people, to unite with us to fight diseases and regain the good health of our people; to become self-reliant or make extra income so as to live a better life”.
At the grand finale of the event, the audience were thrilled by a glamour-filled SONYA contest with a contingent of distributors from Benin Republic with their ‘SONYA Queen’ in attendance.
The six contestants for Nigeria’s SONYA Queen position were  Ossai Naomi Kelechi, Eluwa Else Nkem, Racheal Onuwa Ikekhunma, Ododugha Ibhade Sophia, Chukwuma Cecilia Mary and Omonigho Magdalene. Aside the cat walks, the contestants showcased their mastery of the SONYA range of Skin Care and Beauty Collections.

In the end, beautiful Omonigho Magdalene emerged winner. She will carry Nigeria’s flag at the Abuja Rally next month, when Forever Living Products Nigeria is scheduled to host thousands of African FLP distributors. There will also be the presentation of profit share to qualifiers at the Abuja event.

A Lagos-based company when it began operation in 2000, FLP today operates all over Nigeria with distribution, product and training centres located in Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar.  In addition to product sales, the company also organises regular training programmes for its distributors in 12 cities across the country.

According to Tay, “While our range of products has transformed the lives of millions who are seeking improved conditions of their health and alternative solutions to various types of symptoms, the compensational plan which is an integral part of Forever Living Products’ marketing plan has enabled our independent distributors to enjoy improved standards of living through steady income”.
