For almost one week, Tuesday, March 30 to Saturday, April 3, 2010, renowned health and beauty products multi-level marketing company, Forever Living Products (Nigeria) Limited, (FLP) rolled out the drums to celebrate 10 years of its operations in Nigeria.
The celebrations entailed a press conference by company Managing Director (Nigeria and Benin Republic), Mr. Cornelius Tay, a lecture by Dr. Abayomi Aiyesimoju, a novelty football match between FLP staff and company independent distributors, with the former winning 2-0, and a SONYA Beauty Queen contest.
Briefing the media, Mr. Tay spoke of the worldwide acceptability of the FOREVER brand with more than 200 products introduced globally and nearly 150 of these being marketed or in the process of being registered in the country through a network of 206,877 registered independent FLP distributors.
According to Tay,Â â€œWe invite all interested Nigerians to become one large army of Forever Living Products people, to unite with us to fight diseases and regain the good health of our people; to become self-reliant or make extra income so as to live a better lifeâ€.
At the grand finale of the event, the audience were thrilled by a glamour-filled SONYA contest with a contingent of distributors from Benin Republic with their â€˜SONYA Queenâ€™ in attendance.
The six contestants for Nigeriaâ€™s SONYA Queen position wereÂ Ossai Naomi Kelechi, Eluwa Else Nkem, Racheal Onuwa Ikekhunma, Ododugha Ibhade Sophia, Chukwuma Cecilia Mary and Omonigho Magdalene. Aside the cat walks, the contestants showcased their mastery of the SONYA range of Skin Care and Beauty Collections.
In the end, beautiful Omonigho Magdalene emerged winner. She will carry Nigeriaâ€™s flag at the Abuja Rally next month, when Forever Living Products Nigeria is scheduled to host thousands of African FLP distributors. There will also be the presentation of profit share to qualifiers at the Abuja event.
A Lagos-based company when it began operation in 2000, FLP today operates all over Nigeria with distribution, product and training centres located in Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar.Â In addition to product sales, the company also organises regular training programmes for its distributors in 12 cities across the country.
