Ex-NVRI director commended

Jos —  Executive Director of the National Veterinary Research Institute, NVRI, Vom, Plateau State, Dr. Lami Lombin, has lauded the contributions of a former director of the institute, the Obelu of Esure Ijebu-Mushin, Ogun State, (Jandu II), Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa Oba (Dr.) Kamoru Sansi to its development.

In a congratulatory message to Oba Sansi on his 25th coronation anniversary, she described his contributions to the institute when he served as its head as immeasurable.

Lombin noted that his vigour and tenacity in running the affairs of the institute when it was known as the Federal Department of Veterinary Research took it to higher heights.

She described him as “an accomplished civil servant who transferred on promotion to the Federal Civil Service in March 1970 as Deputy Director of Veterinary Research, FDVR, Vom, Plateau State from where he assumed the position of Director of Veterinary Research, Federal Department of Veterinary Research, Vom now National Veterinary Research Institute NVRI, Vom.”

Oba Sansi who is the President of the Association of Crowned Obas of Ijebuland in Ogun State ascended the throne in January 1985 five years after he retired from the Federal Civil Service. Activities marking his 25th coronation anniversary commenced on March 26, this year.
