FinBank takes convenience banking to Enugu fair

FinBank Plc is offering unique banking services at the Enugu International Trade Fair in line with its renewed business focus. The Bank is showcasing a bouquet of convenient electronic products such as FlashMeCash, FlashWallet, SpeedPay and other personalized banking services at the Fair.

As a techno-centric Bank, it has deepened its e-payment platform by strengthening the capacity and security to enhance the convenience it provides for customers to boost their confidence in using the platform.

As a result, the bank’s flagship electronic product, FlashMecash, has continued to do well in the market. It offers convenience to customers in the purchase of airtime, sending of recharge pins to third parties, bulk SMS purchases and multiple payments to third parties such as payment of salaries, vendors and suppliers as well as payment of bills by individuals and corporate entities.

The product is unique to FinBank and any GSM subscriber is a potential customer of FinBank. Once you are flashed money and payment is received on your phone an account is opened for you automatically on the FlashMeCash platform.

A statement from the Bank said that in line with the Bank’s new strategic focus on its areas of competence and comparative advantage, it has taken the product one step further by developing a hybrid called FlashWallet.

FlashWallet is an electronic purse that allows holders to access their funds across all ATM points with the additional capacity of transferring funds to any person of their choice by phone.  FinBank is the only Bank offering this type of convenience banking product in the market today.

The FlashWallet is similar to the regular debit (ATM) card in every way; it enables our FlashMecash account holders to access their money at any bank’s ATM on the Interswitch network. Plans are underway to enable its usage on the Point of Sale terminals as well as on the internet for purchase transactions. According to Okey Ezeala, Zonal Executive, South East, the Enugu Fair provides a unique opportunity for the Bank’s electronic products because of the technology savvy and youthful student population of Enugu and its environs.

“The showcasing of the FlashMeCash at this year’s Enugu International Trade Fair will give the Bank yet another opportunity to demonstrate the simplicity and user friendliness of its electronic payment products”, Mr. Ezeala said.

The Bank is also showcasing other savings and current account products with unique features. FINSAVE is a hybrid savings account with unique features that not only allows you meet your financial goals, but also makes saving a more rewarding experience.

It offers competitive interest rates and allows dividend warrants and third party withdrawals nationwide. It is charge- on- transaction (COT) free and entitles the account holder to FlashMeCash membership.

Similarly, due to the strategic importance of education in the role today’s children will play in the future, FinBank has designed the Leaders Education Account Plan (LEAP) product to provide a window for parents/guardians to build up funds for the payment of their wards’ school fees. It allows standing order and provides appreciable level of insurance in the event of permanent disability or death of the account holder’s parents.
